Some pumpkins grow quickly. Some become unusually large. Mabel simply stood quietly near the greenhouse every morning. Edgar noticed. That was enough.
If you greet her kindly, the morning somehow feels a little brighter. The Bookkeeper insists this is the sunlight. Edgar remains unconvinced.
