Mabel, the Moon-Pale Pumpkin

Chosen for excellent posture, quiet confidence, and an unusual fondness for moonlight.

Today’s selection

Meet Mabel.

Mabel is round, moon-pale, and slightly flatter on one side. She grew near the edge of the field where the first evening light reaches the vines.

Edgar chose her shortly after breakfast. When asked why, he circled her twice, adjusted one leaf, and said:

Excellent posture.

The Bookkeeper suspects there may be additional criteria, but Edgar has declined to explain his methods.
